Haemophilia Conference 2009 - call for abstracts

The 15th Australian & New Zealand Haemophilia Conference will be held at The Sebel, King George Square, Brisbane, 8-10 October 2009.

The theme adopted for the conference is Life Challenges to reflect the experiences of people in the bleeding disorders community in their lives and work.

Abstracts are now invited for oral presentations or posters to be displayed in the exhibition area. Abstract topics should be relevant to clinical practice and care, laboratory science, research, policy or living with bleeding disorders or treatment complications.

The multidisciplinary conference program will include presentations on issues affecting the care and treatment of people with haemophilia, von Willebrand disorder and related inherited bleeding disorders.

The broad program will include discussions on treatment complications, inhibitors, blood borne viruses, ageing, women’s health, treatment product safety and supply, ongoing access to care and treatment in the developed and the developing world.

Sessions will interest health professionals involved in providing care and treatment and people with bleeding disorders of all ages and their families and carers.

Abstracts must be received by Friday 29 May 2009.
