Executive Director, Sharon Caris (Full-time)
Sharon was appointed in March 2001. She has a background in social work, health administration and advocacy. Her role is to liaise with State/Territory Foundations and the World Federation of Hemophilia and to advocate to governments and other organisations for quality care and treatment for people with haemophilia and related bleeding disorders.
Development Manager, Natashia Coco (Full-time)
Natashia joined the HFA team in August 2003 to further develop HFA''s Development program. Her role consists of fundraising, relationship building, public relations activities and special events. She has been in the not-for-profit sector for over 7 years and has a background in Fundraising and Public Relations. She is passionate about the not-for-profit sector and thoroughly enjoys working for a cause.
Policy Officer, Suzanne O’Callaghan (Full-time)
Suzanne joined HFA in October 2006 to take up the new full-time position as Policy Officer. Her role is to assist HFA in understanding the needs of the bleeding disorders community affected by hepatitis C and to develop and carry out a plan to deal with these needs. She also does other policy and project work. With a background in consumer health information, Suzanne has had many years’ experience in the blood borne virus sector. Helping people in the community make decisions about their own health has been a very satisfying part of her working life.
Executive Secretary, Heather Lauder (Part-time)
Heather has filled the Executive Secretary role to the Executive Director since 1989. In addition, she co-ordinates projects, National meetings and the dissemination of information to member Foundations. Heather''s previous experience in the corporate sector has been an important ingredient in the development of HFA's office administration.
Administration Assistant, Joanne Luciani (Part-time)
Joanne joined us in April 2007 and has a background in fundraising and managing databases. Her role is to assist the Development Manager with fundraising and special events and manages a comprehensive database of donors, supporters and members.
Accountant, Kevin Lai (Part-time)
Kevin joined HFA as a part-time accountant in 1995 and quickly established himself as an invaluable member of the HFA team. His primary role is the preparation of monthly and annual accounts. He also has responsibilities in the development of HFA's financial management procedures. Kevin has many year's experience as an accountant in the corporate sector.
