Hepatitis Awareness Week 2010
Hepatitis Awareness Week 2010
Hepatitis Awareness Week - 17 - 23 May 2010
World Hepatitis Day is celebrated globally on 19 May.
The HFA theme this year is
This is hepatitis….
For people with a bleeding disorder and hepatitis C, it’s another life challenge.
This is a variation on the worldwide theme - "This is hepatitis...". The aim is to increase community understanding and awareness of hepatitis C and generate action. It will focus on people's lived experience of hepatitis C.
On World Hepatitis Day, Wednesday 19 May 2010, HFA launched two new resources on this web site:
- Hep C - my story [PDF 950KB] - a booklet of personal stories about living with a bleeding disorder and hepatitis C
- Hep C - web pages aimed at young people with bleeding disorders about hepatitis C and why it is relevant to the bleeding disorders community. This is in the Kids And Youth section
Thanks to the HFA Hepatitis Awareness Week Working Group for their work on the HFA campaign - Dave Bell, HFWA; Peter Mathews, HFNSW; Pamela Punch, HFV; Chris Poulton, HFA Youth Committee; Suzanne O'Callaghan, HFA.
