CALLING FOR ABSTRACTS FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS AND/OR POSTERS

The multidisciplinary conference program will include presentations on issues affecting the care and treatment of people with haemophilia, von Willebrand disorder and related inherited bleeding disorders.

Sessions will interest health professionals involved in providing care and treatment and people with bleeding disorders of all ages and their families and carers. The broad program will include discussions on treatment complications, inhibitors, blood borne viruses, ageing, women’s health, treatment product safety and supply, ongoing access to care and treatment in the developed and the developing world.

SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT
Abstract topics should be relevant to clinical practice and care, laboratory science, research, policy or living with bleeding disorders or treatment complications. Abstracts will be selected for either an oral presentation or poster to be displayed in the exhibition area. For guidelines and further information see below. Abstracts must be received by Friday 29 May 2009.

GUIDELINES AND FURTHER INFORMATION
• The abstract must be submitted by 29 May 2009
• Obtain consent from co-authors
• Abstract submissions must be made on the submission form
• Do not include photographs on the abstract
• Abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Program Committee
• Authors will be notified if abstract has been accepted in July 2009
• All presenters of accepted abstracts are expected to attend the conference and will be required to pay the conference registration fee and related expenses. Earlybird registration fee is available until July 31 2009
• Oral presentation will be approximately 10 minutes depending on the number of abstracts selected
• PowerPoint data projection will be available with single screens
• Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program and on the conference website
• Accepted posters will be no larger than 1m X 1.5 metres and suitable for hanging with velcro or push pins.
• Print size should be readable from distance of 3-5 feet.
