Aged Care is a term covering home care, aged care homes and respite care for people who are 65 years and older (or 50 years or older for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people). You may be eligible for aged care services if you need assistance with everyday tasks.

AGEING IN PLACE
As you grow older your needs may change. Ageing in Place means that you are not required to move from where you currently live to another facility with specialised care when your care needs become higher.
There are different ways to provide ageing in place as your care needs increase:
- Providing services that enable you to stay in your own home for longer. This might be either privately funded or government-subsidised.
- Support services and nursing homes attached to a retirement village, so you can remain in the same community.
- Care in an aged care home that allows you to stay in the same facility.
