International Men’s Health Week runs each year in the middle of June. It is an important opportunity to highlight the importance of men’s health, and to promote and support the health and wellbeing of men and boys in our communities. This year’s theme, ‘Know where to go when it comes to your health‘ encourages men to talk to a health professional – not an ‘armchair expert’ – when they need it. Around two-thirds of Australian men don’t see a doctor straight away when they notice a problem, which can ultimately make it worse.
For 2025, Men’s Health Week is 9-14 June. Throughout the week we share stories and information in support of men in the bleeding disorders community on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Health checks save lives
50 men a day die from preventable causes in Australia. This Men’s Health Week we’re reminding everyone to go to an expert when it comes to your health, whether that’s your GP, your HTC, or another specialist.
Regular health checks can help you to:
- Catch issues early
- Build a relationship with your healthcare professional
- Prevent new problems
