After 22 years of service, on the first of November we said farewell to our Executive Director, Sharon Caris. To show how much we appreciate everything she has done for our community, we invite you to write a message to her.
Today is World AIDS Day. World AIDS Day is marked globally on 1 December to raise awareness about HIV and eliminate stigma and discrimination. In 2023 the national theme for World AIDS Day is Inclusion. Respect. Equity. This year we share messages from our community as they reflect on the theme and how it relates to the Australian bleeding disorders community.
 
What a huge month we've had! Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month (BDAM) spanned the entirety of October, and saw individuals, families, Haemophilia Foundations and other organisations all helping to raise awareness about haemophilia, von Willebrand disease and hereditary bleeding disorders around Australia.

Today is World Hepatitis Day. This is a day when we come together globally to take action on viral hepatitis. We share the message of Hep can’t wait!, reminding us that hepatitis C remains an important issue for our community and that acting now is vital.
