WFH 2026 World Congress

WFH World Congress Kuala Lumpur April 19-22 2026

The WFH 2026 World Congress took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 19-22 April 2026. The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) and the Hemophilia Society of Malaysia collaborated to bring together more than 1,900 delegates from 130 countries. This included a wide range of people from the global bleeding disorders community – people with bleeding disorders, national member organisations like HFA, health professionals, researchers and industry.

The WFH World Congress is the year’s leading international meeting dedicated to bleeding disorders and is a major forum to discuss the latest information, debate issues relevant to bleeding disorders and look to the future.

Australia was well-represented at the WFH World Congress as speakers, poster presenters and as delegates. In this issue of National Haemophilia we hear reports from delegates about sessions they attended and the key messages they took home from the discussions.

The WFH 2026 World Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was attended by a number of specialist Haemophilia Nurses from Australia. The opportunity for nurses to attend the Congress came from a number of funding sources. This included funding from the World Federation of Hemophilia, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi and CSL Behring. This funding enabled Australian Nurses to attend the Congress to learn more about new advances in treatment and care and to bring this back to their local clinical settings. The impact this has on practice change to benefit patients and their families along with the networking opportunities is invaluable.
