Sports – where do I start?

What can I play?

In Australia there are many sports available for young people to play.

Talk to your Haemophilia Treatment Centre or your Haemophilia Treatment Centre’s physiotherapist about the sports you are interested in to help you make the right decision based on your individual health and situation.

Your physiotherapist will look at things like your physical condition together with your bleeding tendency and may recommend exercises to improve strength, flexibility and give you advice on things like taping or bracing. They may speak to you about certain sports or activities that are more likely to result in bleeds and where possible, help you to protect yourself from bleeding during these activities.
